Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city experienced significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were injured.

The strikes succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
